Clinical Information

EpiFLOSD is designed to heal chronic skin wounds – wounds that have failed to heal for 60 days or more- by providing transdermal, continuous oxygen therapy to boost metabolism and re-establish tissue function. The formation of new collagen, granulation, angiogenesis and epithelialization are all oxygen dependent and oxygen driven. Some clinicians suggest that EpiFLOSD mimics the bloodstream in delivering oxygen to ischemic cells surrounding the chronic wound thus providing metabolic energy to allow normal wound healing to progress.
Case report studies are available on this web site and additional clinical data will be available in the near future.  Peer reviewed articles and conference presentations by doctors from prominent medical schools, hospitals, and clinics will be published in the next several months. Web links to those publications will be provided as soon as they are available.
